Myanmar Marine Company, Ltd.is a private limited company incorporated under the Myanmar Companies Act. It was established in January 1992 with the prime object of exploiting all opportunities in the field of Mercantile Marine and Shipping business in Myanmar.

Myanmar Marine Company Limited is projected to carry out all related activities in ship management, husbandry, freight forwarding, inspection and technical services, and to act as correspondents for P&I clubs and non-exclusive surveyors for cargo insurers and adjusters and classification societies.

The founders of the company are Captain KyawTheinLwin, Chairman of, Mariner Enterprises Ltd., Yangon , a leading ship manning company which was initially established in Bangkok, Thailand in 1982 and the late Colonel (rtd.) HlaMyint, ex- Chairman and Managing Director of Burma Ports Corporation ( Myanmar Ports Authority ).

The major aim and object of the Company is to create shore based employment for experienced and qualified marine professionals as and when they give up their seafaring careers and to utilize their proven professional experience and expertise in marine related shore establishments.

Eighteen shareholders of the Company are carefully chosen from reputable Myanmar marine and engineering professionals who are prepared to contribute and share their experiences for the benefit of the Company and its progress.

Myanmar Marine Co., Ltd, in association with Mariner Enterprises Ltd., offers a wide range of Maritime Services in Myanmar by agency agreement or by franchise with overseas Principals.

Under the guidance of its Directors, who are well experienced retired master mariners and engineers with long service in the marine field and wide and varied experience and professional strength, we are pioneers in this field in Myanmar and hold a unique position to provide a wide range of services. In addition as the agent for various Underwriters, Settling Agents and Insurance Companies we are the appointed Lloyd’s Agent in Myanmar and has held the appointment since 01 July 2012.

Myanmar Marine Co., Ltd provides the following services in their capacity as Lloyd’s Agent. These services involve surveys and inspections including, but not limited to, hull and machinery surveys, vessel condition & P&I surveys, pre-loading surveys, draft surveys, on/off hire surveys, collision damage and repair cost assessment, engine damage and repair cost assessment, general cargo surveys, quantity surveys, loading supervising including cargo stowage and lashing, and related P & I and maritime activities.
